Bishop Kevin E. Sharpe (Kevin Earl Sharpe) was born in Dermott, Arkansas on January 10th, as a twin, weighing in at 4.5 lbs.  Unfortunately, due to a birth defect, his twin brother did not survive.  At the age of 4 years old, Bishop Sharpe was adopted.  Bishop Sharpe never had a real relationship with his biological parents during childhood. I had the opportunity to spend some time with my birth mother in my early twenties.  She was the mother to 23 children.  The next contact that Bishop Sharpe had about his birth mother was the notification that she had passed away.  Bishop Sharpe has 12 siblings living, 5 sisters and 7 brothers.  His sister, Linda, succumbed to cancer in 2024.  Bishop Sharpe was raised in foster homes and group homes.

Bishop Sharpe realized his love for the church, as he accompanied his foster mother Grace King to church.  Mother King raised him up in a Godly way making sure that he “stayed in Jesus.”  Throughout his ups and downs, Bishop Sharpe kept his eyes on God Almighty. Bishop Sharpe is the proud husband of 5 years to Elect-Lady Sharpe.  Bishop Sharpe is also the proud father of Joshua and Sarah Sharpe.  He also has 6 stepchildren with Elect-Lady Sharpe, and 4 grandchildren. Bishop Sharpe was saved at a young age and received the Holy Ghost at a tent revival that was conducted by the late Dr. R.W. Shamback.

Bishop Sharpe currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida and is the Senior Pastor and Founder of the Evangelistic Faith Temple Church in Jacksonville, Florida.  His teaching and upbringing in the Church of God in Christ and Apostolic, by the late Bishop Jobe, who lived to be 98 years of age.  Bishop Sharpe has been in the ministry for 38 years and counting. I am the Founder and Senior Pastor of Evangelistic Faith Temple Church Established August 17, 2021.
